A psychologist focuses on people’s emotional and mental well-being. Through counselling, therapies, and research, psychologists help people to understand and change their behavior.
Interaction with a psychologist can take place on an individual as well as a group level. A group could be a work team or a family;
A psychologist can help clients with mental health problems (depression, anxiety; all kinds of phobias, addiction problems, and many more). Psychologists also help with relationship issues between partners and among family members;
Apart from addressing acute mental problems, psychologists can also help with better understanding who we are, and teach patients how to manage stress, pain, or behavioral problems.
