Cardiology
Cardiology is an internal medical field dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which include high blood pressure (arterial hypertension), high cholesterol, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris and conditions after myocardial infarction), valve defects or heart failure. The cardiologist is part of a team of doctors dealing with the differential diagnosis of the most common symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain and syncope.
