  • Unicare Assistance Services, a daughter company of Unicare Medical Centre, has been created to assist you with your medical care in the Czech Republic.
  • In case of accident, hospitalization, specialized medical care or emergencies, our medically trained multilingual staff will communicate with your doctors, nurses and medical providers to guarantee optimal care conditions for treatment in the Czech Republic.
  • For added convenience, clients who are members of Unicare Assitance can make use of direct billing to their International Insurance Plans.

How can you become a member of UNICARE Assistance?

  • To become member of “Unicare Assistance Services” it is necessary to fill in the “UAS registration form” and pay a membership fee
  • The membership fee is 1200 CZK per person (the fee for families with one child is 3000 CZK, plus 900 CZK for each additional family member)

How can Unicare Assistance help you in case of need? We can…

  • Contact medical service providers (hospitals, private clinics, private or state doctors, and medical centers) and make sure that you get optimal care conditions
  • Accompany you to hospital and introduce you to the doctors and nurses that will participate in your care, acompany you throughout the hospital to specialized exams eg X-rays, CTs, MR
  • Interpret throughout the entire admitting process and handle all the Czech hospital form-filling. Explain diagnosis and proposed treatment, assist you in discussing this with the doctors and nurses, and inform your doctor and family back home
  • Be available 24 hours a day over the phone and visit you in hospital upon request
  • Assist you at the time of discharge from hospital
  • Organise ambulance transport, medical evacuation and assist with repatriation
  • Compile and translate your medical records into English

In dealing with your insurance, we will…

  • Act as liaison between you and your insurance company. We will handle ALL paperwork and correspondence for you with ANY insurance company
  • Contact your insurance company to obtain confirmation of coverage for specific medical services or hospitalization
  • Issue guarantees of payment to hospitals, laboratories, or other clinics for specialized examinations or hospitalization
  • Bill your insurance company directly for all the above
