At UNICARE we put prevention first. Effective prevention can help you lead a comfortable, healthy and long life. Preventive check-ups can help to identify illnesses in the early stages when they can be effectively treated.
Preventive care in children represents an important part of our effort. Preventive exams are planned to assess growth, development, nutritional status and general health condition of children and to evaluate their risk of illnesses from birth to their teens. In the Czech Republic, preventive care of children living in international communities follows the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).
For the schedule of usual preventive check-up and immunisation see: “Paediatric Preventive Care”.
Preventive care for adults: Our “Preventive packages” for adult clients are based on the requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO) but can be adjusted to the individual needs of each patient. We recommend to consider the following:
- Blood and urine tests
- Gynaecological exam with PAP smear and Mammography
- Prostate examination
- ECG and ECG-Stress Test
- Dental exam and hygiene
- Vaccinations
- Further individual recommendations depend on age and previous medical history
Vaccination as an effective prevention of serious illnesses
Vaccination is a very important part of our care. It keeps you protected against many serious illnesses. We offer consultancy for expatriates living in the Czech Republic. After evaluating vaccination records we suggest the most suitable vaccinations. Besides the compulsory immunisations we suggest the following:
- “Tick Borne Encephalitis” (TBE) is a dangerous illness carried and transmitted by ticks that are found in the local environment.
- “Influenza” is a sickness that can complicate your life during the winter months and prevent you from working.
If you plan to travel outside the Czech Republic, we can recommend the most appropriate vaccinations based on the epidemiological situation at your intended destination. We follow the recommendations of the WHO.
Make use of the special offer: You pay for your first two shots and get the third one free!
- Typhus, Meningococcal Meningitis, Rabies and others. These vaccines are available depending on your destination
